HOLLYWOOD, Calif.–In her first week back on the television talk show, The View, comedienne Rosie O’Donnell made a heartfelt announcement that left nary a dry eye in the audience and brought hugs of support from co-host Whoopi Goldberg.

“I’ve never been brave enough to say this, but with the support of our audience and my co-hosts I have the courage to say, ‘I’m a woman living in a man’s body’!” O’Donnell tearfully announced to the stunned studio audience as co-hosts Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace exchanged a knowing glance.

After a few moments digesting the courageous announcement, the entire studio audience stood along with all three of O’Donnells co-hosts and applauded, many wiping tears from their cheeks.

“I’d like to say I never saw this coming, but I’d be lying,” Goldberg admitted later, “Me and Rosie have had our differences, and I can now honestly say I’m pretty fucking glad it never came to blows.”
