KANSAS CITY, Missouri–Pop superstar Taylor Swift announced today on social media that she has given birth to a baby girl. The reclusive singer, who is known to shun the spotlight and is notoriously media-shy, surprised fans with a post on Instagram that read “Welcome Beulah Mae to our growing family!!!” The post was accompanied with a photograph of Swift with her other two children, 2 year-old Roscoe and 1 year-old Earline, that she had with her ex-boyfriend Cletus Franklin.

Franklin, an auto mechanic from Slaughterville, Kentucky, said he’s happy for Swift and their other children, and even wondered whether he could be the father of Beulah Mae.

“I’m happy little Roscoe and the girl will have another sister to play with,” he said, “And I’m glad I don’t have to pay child support on the new one. So far she hasn’t acted like it was mine. I’ve been doing some math, and the timing makes me a little nervous. We had a few too many tequilas one night when we took the kids out to TGI Friday’s and ended up back in the sack. I swear tequila really does make that girl’s clothes fall off.”

Fans on social media expressed excitement and showered the pop star with congratulatory messages. There were also several posts from fans expressing frustration that the artist hasn’t announced the identify of the father of the baby girl. Swift has recently dated professional football player Travis Kelce, but it has been speculated that she was already pregnant when the two met.

Franklin is intensely curious as to the identity of the father, as he expressed his desire to avoid a situation similar to the one that occurred when Swift became pregnant with Earline.

“I didn’t think she was mine,” he claims, “We hadn’t been together for awhile–just a late night rendezvous every once in a while, if you know what I mean. I figured it could have been anybody’s. But Tay made me go on Maury Povich. Turns out I was the father.”

Franklin says the last time he and Swift were intimate was a couple months after she started dating Kelce, but he doesn’t believe he has anything to worry about this time.

“I pulled out,” he says, “But I guarantee you one thing. If I get a call and the caller ID shows Maury Povich, I won’t be picking up.”
